How does it work?
How much does it cost?

The cost of a filming session varies from as little as $2500 and goes up to $9000 and more depending on the location, hours of filming and editing, but mostly on your readiness for the session.
Both the cost and the quality of the video depends primarily on how well the preproduction stage is thought through.
Pre-production stage. As basic as it can be, filming sessions have it. The cost of your video resume depends primarily on how well this stage is thought through.

Pre-production stage is a process of planning the filming, visualizing the result and calculating the resources needed to shoot it. Answers to the following questions may drive the cost up or down:

1) What is the purpose of the video? Where and how do you plan to use it?
To a professional videographer the answers will determine the style of the video and the length. Professional Video resumes are made in horizontal format and usually are 3-5 minutes long to be posted on your personal web-page, YouTube or emailed to hiring professionals. Yet if you plan to post your video resume on social media platforms such as LinkedIn or Instagram, you will need a shorter version in a format that fits those platforms.

2) Do you have a script? How well do you work on camera?
The purpose of your video also indicates the style and the message of your video as it reveals who the target audience of your video will be. If you are a professional speaker or marketing professional, you know your audience and how to appeal to them. The filming of your presentation or resume will take no more than standard 3 hours. If you are new to writing compelling content and publicly praising your achievements, preparing a script may require more time and effort. We would recommend turning to a professional to write a script for you and allocate additional time for filming. All of it will drive the cost up. Writing a script may add $500-$750 to the cost, each hour of filming will add $250-$600 and more hours of raw footage will take more time to edit. But look at it as a training session that in the end you will practice your skills on how to present your ideas in a short compelling form and work on camera - vital skills for professionals nowadays - in addition to a professional video!

3) How much do you need a stylist?
Well, you need a style to be on camera. You may do it yourself and come to us already fully prepared. But if you have doubts and need a second opinion on your clothing, hairstyle and make-up, we would definitely recommend you to consult a professional, or even hire them additionally for the session.
The stylist is critical if you want to add a photo session to the filming session. initially we include a small 30-minute photo session. But if you need photos in different styles, we can help you find and add a photographer, a stylist consultation or a stylist for the session. We can even go an extra mile and rent clothing specifically for your filming and photo session as we want your experience with us to be as professional, creative and inspiring as it should be to deliver best results and media content that will make a difference in your life and in the lives of your audience.

Filming stage.
1) How many hours of filming do you need?
The minimum filming duration for a videos resume or a video presentation is 3 hours. In result you get a 90 seconds vertical video, or a 3-5 minute horizontal video, or both.


2) The location. Where do you want us to film?
Shooting in a studio might be a good idea. There you have presets and nothing will disturb the process. Renting of a studio will not pose additional traveling cost of the filming crew. Yet as much as we love to see you at our favourite studios in Los Angeles, we know that videos in your working environment will be most effective in showcasing your expert profile.

3) Do you need a second camera?
If it is your first professional filming session starting with fast and simple single camera is a perfect choice. A second camera will give different view angle that will be turn into additional prospective and dynamic during the final cut. But as I said, for a video resume it is not required. We just love perfection and would be happy to add some charm to your video presentation.

Post production stage.
First of all you should know that it is the stage when the difference between a self-made and professional video reveal vividly. A standard package we include cuts, coloring, sound editing and design to your video resume. You can see the difference in examples below.
Editing of a 3 hour single camera raw footage will cost you $750. Each additional hour will add $150 to the cost.
